#OTD in 1915, M. Athalie Range was born to a family of Bahamian immigrants in Key West. Range made history as the first Black woman elected to Miami’s City Commission in 1965, and again as the first Black woman to serve as the head of a Florida state agency in 1970.

RIP Victor Lundy (02/01/1923 - 11/04/2024), one of the founding architects of the Sarasota School. Lundy designed many historic buildings in Florida, including Warm Mineral Springs Motel, Galloway's Furniture Showroom, St. Paul Lutheran and the Silver Springs Visitor's Center.
