When you attend a college camp you are interviewing for a job. Regardless of how many offers you have or don’t have every rep should be executed as if you’re trying to earn one. Finish every drill like it’s the play to win a game. #Ap2w
Camp Tip: Stay off of the ground when doing competition drills. It’s not worth it to injure yourself or someone else trying to make a play. College coaches don’t want or expect you to dive or take someone else to the ground trying to impress them. #Ap2w
Word of advice for recruits trying to attend camp this summer..DO NOT WAIT until the last minute to try to register for a camp..Many of these camp fill up quick and walk-up registration is extremely limited.. Register early so you can secure your spot or you might not get in!!!
During your first call with a college coach, avoid asking for a scholarship. Develop a relationship with the coach before you ask for money.
Camp Tip: Be sure to stretch properly before and after camps in addition to properly hydrating before, during and after camp sessions. It’s essential that you take care of your body and do your part to avoid muscle strains and pulls. #Ap2w
Camp Tip: Have your transcript and test score on your phone in case a coach asks for it. If you’re an aspiring college prospect attending camps where there are multiple schools represented be prepared to provide them with this information if they notice and approach you. #Ap2w
Camp Tip: When a coach asks your name or you introduce yourself always say your first & last name clearly, state where you’re from & what high school you attend, make eye contact and give firm handshake. Your introduction could be what sets you apart from everyone else. #Ap2w

Recruits, as I recap the past weeks on the road the biggest thing I’ve notice is that a lot of guys have failed themselves in the classroom. Guys want offers but haven’t taken the advice offered by their teachers and coaches. Showing up and trying is half the battle!
