In the run-up to the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, 63 Coventry schools joined the Flame of Friendship torch relay. Over 700 pupils and teachers celebrated at the University of Warwick with an Olympic-themed dance and parade. Well done, Frederick Bird's dance group! 🎉

Frederick Bird Academy Choir performed at the Royal Albert Hall on July 9th, 2024, with schools nationwide organised by Armonico Consort. Our brilliant choir listened to the conductor and performed impressively. Their behaviour was a credit to our school.

12 children in year 5 successfully graduated the initial junior PCSO program this week. They completed learning in neighbouring policing skills, citizenship, Phonetic alphabet, road signs, car and road safety, crime scene investigation and court proceedings. Well done year 5!

We are so proud of Muhammad-Saleem, our talented Year 5 artist! He has dedicated his own time at home to produce many OUTSTANDING pieces of artwork featuring vibrant shapes, patterns, and dynamic lines. His artistic skills are fantastic. He even had one printed on a t-shirt!

Exciting News! Year 5 children had the opportunity to enter the Young Writers poetry competition! Some of their amazing work has been chosen for publication in 'Once Upon A Dream- Whispers In The Wind'.  The eight young writers are very proud of their hard work!

Yesterday, we were visited by The Reading Doctor. She came into school to donate over 1000 free books for our children - they'll all be taking their very own book home this week. A big thank you from Frederick Bird!

It has been a very exciting week for Reception with the delivery of some duck eggs. We observed them closely and watched as they cracked. We now have some very cute ducklings to look after! 🦆
