My little journey on upgrading Rails for a giant monolith was just published. It won't take long to read, but if you are super busy, the main point is: "Respect Rails conventions" Curios why? Please read the whole article. #ruby #rubyonrails #zeitwerk evgeniydemin.medium.com/rails-upgrade-…

“Shape up” is a great addition to the list. And you won’t believe it: it’s free to download! #ruby #unicorn
100% agree. Rework and getting real were the once I found more useful in my day to day life but every single one of them has been a very good reading.
Every Ruby on Rails engineer should start their career by reading @37signals books and blog posts. So much non-typical yet very simple knowledge it possesses. Agree or disagree? #ruby #rubyonrails #entrepreneurship
It was wonderful talking with you, @yet_anotherDev! Seeing that the gem is still being used by many across the globe makes me feel absolutely great!

Second time I joining offine poker tournament in Belgrade, Serbia. I see so many Russian IT expats coming here to enjoy the time too. So I wonder: Do #engineers play #poker?
Life’s intensity: I bought Twitter premium a month ago, still haven’t filled the form for a blue mark. Let’s see if I find time to do that this week 😅

Just recorded a casual walkthrough tour of our first ONCE product. It's called Campfire and it's a very simple, straightforward group chat tool for teams and businesses. Just the essentials without any of the bloat that's infected so many SaaS tools today. You'll pay Campfire…

"Set the deadline first, the scope of work after." It is a controversial idea, yet it makes so much sense when you follow it through. "Shape Up" highlights well how @37signals get things done.
I read #GettingReal from @37signals It’s a great addition to “Rework” and “It doesn’t have to be crazy at work” with more focus on business side. One thing I really like: Treat your projects as #business, not #startups. What’s your experience on the subject?
#Ruby community is incredible! Don't believe me? Check out how two outstanding community contributors helped me with my issue in minutes! Thank you again, @fxn and @pankowecki!
It's a new #Zeitwerk (loading) journey for me. During the upgrade from 6.1 to 7.0.8, I can't access constant A (it throws an error because it is already loaded and cannot redefine itself). Via Zeitwerk's logger, I see it is in the autoloaded list but wasn't autoloaded. What?
