We have arrived at Mount Rainier, MD from Montreal. Today they are announcing light rain but mild. it will be great training for the team.
The silver lining? it will give our team more time to secure our 100,000$ of sponsorship needed despite the state of the economy.
But this set back will not jeopardize my desire to achieve the world record for the eldest man to make all of the continents highest peaks.
fall summit attempts have rarely been successful as the spring ones are much more likely. But as weather comes and goes...I will be older
Deception is sometime part of the process...our Everest attempt has been pushed from october 2009 to May 2010 due to weather
Another question: do you manage to have appetite while on a high altitude trekking? I feed on nutrition bars as nothing else will go down.
Share with us your worst hiking mishap. I can tell you I once fell from a cliff and broke 6 teeth, had a bunch of sutures, and made it down.
