We're worried about drivers' safety so our new driving safety campaign is: BE BRIGHT, WEAR A HELMET We're campaigning for all cars to be painted bright yellow and for helmet use to be mandatory when driving a vehicle. Remember—cyclists know best! If it only saves one life!

The Government message really needs to be “We are making cycling so safe for you that you need no more think about protective gear than you would when going for a stroll”
There are many good proposed changes and I hate to be churlish but this ‘evidence suggests’ is controversial and why target cyclists in this way. Is there no evidence suggesting that motorists and pedestrians may avoid head injury in certain circumstances by wearing helmets?
