Hi all! Did you see the @eugeneweekly wrote about our efforts to get a fair contract? Here it is if you missed it: eugeneweekly.com/2021/12/16/the…
We the journalists of the @SLTrib are forming a union to ensure an equitable Salt Lake Tribune newsroom and a sustainable future for the vital local journalism Utahns count on. Read more about our effort at SaltLakeNewsGuild.org. #SaltLakeNewsGuild
Workers @washingtonpost have been in contract negotiations with our bosses for 18 months. But the company is refusing to pay us what we’re worth or bargain in good faith. So on Dec. 7, we’re walking off the job for 24 hours.
EOMG today denied our request for voluntary recognition. We're disappointed, but aren't deterred, and look forward to winning our election soon.

.@thebulletin and @RedmondSpox have served Central Oregon through challenge, change and growth. But that growth has outpaced the growth in our wages. It is for this reason that we are unionizing our newsroom. It is for this reason we have formed @centraloregonNG
We’re sending our support and solidarity to Oregon’s newest @newsguild as the staff at @thebulletin and @RedmondSpox begin their union journey. The hardworking staff at central Ore. newspapers deserve fair compensation and the ability to afford to live in the cities they cover.

It’s official, Reviewed is on strike. No bargaining? No bargain hunting on Prime Day. This Prime Day, don’t cross the clicket line. Stand with our striking members and don’t click or share any Reviewed content today. #gannettgreed
Without us, Gannett can't offer any in-depth coverage of the Coachella Valley – sometimes it's painfully obvious. On the left are scab pics of last night's hockey game taken by the Arizona Republic editor (!), and on the right are photos by our @andy_abeyta Our work matters.
Desert Sun staffers are marching today in downtown Palm Springs! We and 20+ @Gannett newsrooms are walking out to demand a fair contract now. #gannettwalkout
Although we can’t strike under our current contract, the Eugene Newspaper Guild (representing the employees of the @registerguard) stands in solidarity with our fellow @Gannett journalists striking across the country today.
📢What do we want? 🗣️A fair contract! 📢When do we want it? 🗣️Now! #GannettWalkout #GannettStrike
🚨 Gannett journalists are WALKING OUT📷 On June 5, the day of Gannett's annual meeting, 100s of journalists from Texas to NY are launching a wave of walkouts to send shareholders a message: @Gannett needs new leadership, starting from the top. It's time to end #GannettGreed.
He’s destroying his company. He’s destroying lives and livelihoods. He’s destroying local news. Today, we’re walking off the job in protest of Gannett CEO Mike Reed, in solidarity with our union comrades across the country. Stand with us: bit.ly/gannett-strike… #GannettGreed
THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC GUILD IS WALKING OFF THE JOB 🧵 It's very simple, what @Gannett is offering us would leave some members with LESS money in their paychecks each week, and that is unacceptable. We've started a GoFundMe to help support our journalists bit.ly/AZ-GoFundMe
🚨JOURNALISTS AT THE DESERT SUN ARE WALKING OUT🚨 On June 5, the day of Gannett's annual meeting, hundreds of journalists are staging walkouts to send shareholders a message: @Gannett needs new leadership at the top. It's time to end #GannettGreed. gofundme.com/f/the-desert-s…
🦇We are on strike! We've been fighting for a fair contract for two years, but @Gannett keeps stalling. Enough is enough! Today, 100% of our union is walking out, along with hundreds of Gannett journalists around the country, who want a reasonable contract for our newsrooms.
We have not engaged in this kind of collective action in decades. But we are tired and angry. Journalists and media workers have been giving companies concessions for decades only to see company profits squandered on stock buybacks and executive pay. Enough is enough!
Today @newsguild members are on strike in New York, Texas and Pennsylvania. Join me in standing in solidarity with @NYTimesGuild @FortWorthGuild @PGHGuild @CWAUnion
Solidarity to @FortWorthGuild! This team has been striking for more than a week to get @mcclatchy to pay their workers enough to afford to live where they report.
The journalists of the Fort Worth NewsGuild are on a ULP strike, effective immediately. Members of the Guild decided to strike with an overwhelming majority of support — 91% of signed members — because of @mcclatchy’s continued refusal to bargain in good faith.
