I DID A POEM FOR NETFLIX I DID A POEM FOR NETFLIX I DID A POEM FOR NETFLIX

For everyone whose sisterhood, friends, and allies have given them the courage to "step onto the bus". @erinmaykelly performs her powerful poem about the bus scenes in Sex Education Season 2.

In 2020 I sewed a long furby and bought a tiny trampoline because I was going to “be a trampoline person,”” but ok.

Mental-health crisis from pandemic was minimal, study suggests bbc.in/3kUWef1

I thought my biggest goal with starting to write fantasy would be “create believable characters.” Turns out it’s actually “do not get endorsed by putin.”

I don’t understand what an NFT is and I refuse to learn. I know enough things.

Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein 49 years before H.G Wells was born. A teenage girl wrote the first recognisable science fiction novel.

With Jules Verne and the publisher Hugo Gernsback, H.G. Wells invented the genre of science fiction. nyti.ms/3oN27IO

Watching and reading @flanaganfilm @RahulKohli13 @neilhimself @k8siegel @StephenKing this month made me start writing again. I have heartbroken, tortured, conflicted characters begging to be released.

I am actually sickened by how good @midnightmass is. The writing, acting and all aspects of production are incredible. How are ALL the monologues THAT amazing? Does everything @RahulKohli13 touches just turn to gold?

Repost of an old favourite of my poems. 🖤

Stop wearing your body like an apology ❤️ @ErinMayKelly

I’m so excited to start watching the new season of #sexeducation ! The perfect time to share the poem I did for the release of season 2. You’re riding with us. 🖤

Terry was wise and Terry was kind. Terry understood that people were complicated, contradictory and, always people, and that people can and do change. As @rhipratchett says, he would have had no time for this nonsense. (See also: Equal Rites, Monstrous Regiment, Feet of Clay.)

This is horrifying. My father would most definitely not be a GC if he was still alive. Read. The. Books.

Speak to someone you don't agree with and the world could change.

So I’m very proud of my latest work, here’s a teaser trailer for a very important World Health Organizion webinar.

BREAKING: Derek Chauvin has been convicted of the murder of George Floyd. For the first time in Minnesota state history, a white police officer has been held accountable for killing a Black man.

I love that this poem is still speaking to people. 🖤

This night one year ago was #BreonnaTaylor’s last time going to bed. She went to bed with dreams for her life. She went to bed with goals for her career. She went to bed with love in her heart. She went to bed assuming she would wake up the next morning, like every other day.

This is why we are tired. A news story about a teenage girl defending herself against a man attacking her is met with this. It’s not rare, monstrous men with super villain back stories who oppress us. It’s the men we see and talk to every day. And they don’t care.

Feminists teaching voilence. 👎
