Important race for Dem bench-building - Jackson is 42, a veteran, backed off 2022 Senate run to make room for Cheri Beazley (who lost). Rs were hoping to get rid of him (nuked his seat w a gerrymander) but then their primary voters picked Mark Robinson, who hurt Rs downballot.
This one race has something for everyone: the winning Dem is a TikTok star while the losing Republican was the lead author of the 2016 bathroom bill.

Trump voters chose him because of the economy and the border. They didn’t choose him to put an unqualified sycophant as SecDef, a possible Russian agent as DNI, the target of a DOJ investigation as AG, or a vaccine denier as Sec HHS. The Senate must do its job properly.
