No AC in the middle of a heatwave is no way to treat our city's older adults. The Department for the Aging is the lowest funded agency in the city. We need a budget that invests in our older adults! amny.com/news/midtown-s…

Thanks to Councilmember @ebottcher and @monicamoralestv for spotlighting our failing HVAC. We need the city's support to keep older adult centers (OACs) safe when temperatures soar. Its past time for the city to give NYCAging a capital budget to invest in OAC infrastructure.

Thank you Chair Hudson for your advocacy. Older Adults built this city and is the fastest growing demographic. Cutting older adult center funding shows misguided priorities. The administration MUST fully fund New York’s Older Adult Centers so every Older New Yorker can thrive.

NYC is set to see billions in previously unprojected revenue. Despite this, @NYCAging's Prelim Budget is full of unnecessary cuts. Join me tomorrow for the @NYCCouncil Committee on Aging's Preliminary Budget Hearing at 1PM, and let's talk 💰! Live Stream: council.nyc.gov/#location-comm…

#JustPay It's time for fair compensation and more funding for our aging pop and those who care for them. The Mayor's vision for NYC must include #olderadults and care providers! They are essential to our city's fabric. Yet, overlooked in the latest State of the City address.
