Fair. I'm not particularly into either side having not followed US politics for a few years. But maybe an opportunity for reflection was missed during/after his first term. Perhaps trying to understand each other, rather than blame, will lead everyone to a better place one day.

I don't like to tweet much about politics, but if you respond to an overwhelming victory for people you profoundly disagree with by saying, "everyone is clearly stupid/evil", instead of triggering profound curiosity and reflection, you are part of the problem

I'm sad but not surprised. People compare children's books to then and now - yes there is a difference in some cases, my 6yo was enchanted by the magic of The Faraway Tree more than any modern book - but the real answer is literature is not yet getting what digital natives want.

Glad this is being tackled well before mine is old enough to know anything about vapes. Next I hope they sort out proper age restrictions on Internet use - the social influence and bullying from online is worrying.

Secondhand smoke harms children and medically vulnerable adults. Most smokers wish they had never started but were trapped by addiction at a young age. Marketing vapes at children is utterly unacceptable. A new Bill in Parliament will address these. gov.uk/government/spe…

To kefir or not kefir? #infectiousdisease #virus people - I've caught flu from 6yo who had 10-day fever/antibiotics. I'm feverish up to 39, chills, sob, nausea, slayed. I've given us kefir all summer (about 3mths) for immunity. Now read it may put too much bacteria in the body?

Two days ago now as I'm late but worth remembering. A lovely autumn read for children. Get a library copy out for half-term!

72 years ago today the Charlotte’s Web book was published! 😉👍🏻

Getting 6yo ready for school. Me "Right let's get dressed" 6yo laughs Me "You'll be late" 6yo swings polo shirt around her head in crazy cave person dance and shouts "One thousand hours later!" Me "You cray-cray" 6yo falls on bed laughing. The school run. Every day. #crazies

What we are doing to our young people...

Mine, with a toilet pass asked where she was going in the hall. Staff then followed her to the toilet, stood outside the cubicle and banged on the door telling her to hurry before she even sat. School have accepted this was erm ‘overzealous’, their woods certainly not mine..

When is a fact not a fact? Will Newton and Einstein's theories always be the best we have? When new facts emerge it doesn't mean science can't be trusted. Quite the opposite. Here's why questioning established understanding is good: youtube.com/watch?v=bKjafJ…
