The initial result from @denver_care published in JAMA Psychiatry! We saw a huge reduction in depression following our brief prenatal intervention funded by NIMH @NIMHgov Follow the link to read more.

A randomized clinical trial of prenatal interpersonal psychotherapy showed rapid decreases in depression. Depression in the intervention group dropped from 37% before intervention to 6% after (vs. 26% in control group). ja.ma/41wX7Ki

Excited to share the manuscript based on my masters 🥳 Mothers who used substances during pregnancy had higher mood unpredictability; both substance exposure & mood unpredictably predicted higher toddler reactivity @EidenDas @PSUPsychology @DevNeuroTox sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Amazing overview of @denver_care project by @NevarezBrewster & @lillybelle_deer Even though I work closely with this team, still so amazed at the depth of this study and all the measures they collect on mothers & children. If you missed the talk, ask for their slides! #ISDP2024

Interested in how we can better understand internalizing problems from one generation to the next? Check out a new paper led by @annamzhou !👩‍🍼

Excited to share our new paper! We found that maternal anxiety symptoms & RSA reactivity during the third trimester were associated with infant negative affectivity, which in turn were associated with toddler internalizing problems doi.org/10.1017/S09545…

Regions of the human brain may shrink in size during pregnancy, but have better connectivity, with only a few regions of the brain remaining untouched by the transition to motherhood, according to research published in @NatureNeuro go.nature.com/4enUvov

#WomensHealth is such an incredibly important topic right now! This was a privilege to be part of. @LudemanCenter hosted a fantastic luncheon to engage with our community who share this passion. Research that examines unique causes and risks. @mariashriver hero for women.

It's not everyday you get to see @TheBaleLab and @mariashriver speak about the importance of women's health! As was so well said today - it's not a partisan matter, it's political. It's about policy. And we all have a role to improve how we care for women's health together 🩷
