Still cant believe we didnt win today. From being really good 1st half to being so passive 2nd half just allowing them to come at us. Today was a massive lesson for RLB hopefully one hes learnt from. Also looks like weve lost Mundle & Browne on top of Paddy & Hume for next game

Mind how is that our 4th away game in 5 with 2 back to back ones in the space of 3 and 4 days absolutely crazy scheduling that.

Another clean sheet but think we were swamped in the middle of the park with Greenwood dropping in to make 6. Also like on Sat we need the ref to make the right decions & send off 1 if not 2 of their players which changes the game & who knows what happens there after. Onto sat

How PNE aren't down to 9 men only the ref knows Lindsay has committed 6.or 7 fouls 4 alone were bookable offences and Whitman yes soft but that what Mepham got a yellow for. And as we seen on sat reds change the game

Would like to see RLB switch Isidor and Watson around to see if that brings any joy

Great to see Rigg back & Ballard on the bench. Interesting to see how Connelly/Isidor link up. But very excited to see Watson get his well earned chance. Probs right call to rest Mundle given how green he still is being his 1st proper season hopefully we benefit long term

Also be interested to know if bringing Hjelde on was Riberio input as just prior to him coming on you seen him and RLB discussing something

What a difference Mepham makes absolute Rolls Royce of a player at this level. Never stop talking given out instructions l. Reads the game so Well too.

Only O'Nien could get booked for clowning about trying to calm things down at the end

Huge result & a game I think we wouldve lost previous seasons. We wouldve been bullied out the game & caved. Ugly but a massive win & a bit of statement result. Don't think we've won there since Keanos 5-1 to win the league. Some street smart performance especially by Patto

Need to switch it upm2nd half as we can't spend another 80% of the game in our own half defending. I'd get Connelly on for Rigg in the hope he and Isidor can hold it up better allowing us to take some of the pressure off.

Well done good to see the club again look after a player down on his luck. Although it probably suggest we won't see him this season and this will give him a year to hopefully get back to either win a deal here or somewhere else.

Sunderland AFC is pleased to announce that Niall Huggins has signed a contract extension. The 23-year-old has extended his stay on Wearside until summer 2026, with a Club option of a further year also included ✍️

Great goal, good player but has no luck with injuries. Hopefully his luck changes as and when he does get back

On this day in 2023… 🗓️ Niall Huggins scored this beautiful solo goal for Sunderland! 🤩🙌 #SAFC
