Happy to share this little tidbit from my work on TEs in ants with @ShaggySchrader and @JürgenGadau! If your looking for an easy and inexpensive Transposon display in insects with small genomes, here you go: academic.oup.com/biomethods/art…

Huge thanks to the instructors @valentina_peona @clementgoubert and all the attendees of the #PhysaliaTE24! 🙌 Your passion, expertise, and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge on TEs made this an amazing learning experience. 🌟👏 #Bioinformatics #TransposableElements @hub_te

On my way home from #cshlinsect feeling mighty inspired by the people & talks. My jet lagged self went on beautiful morning walks while still partying with Barbara McClintock at night. So I am tired but at the same time honored to have seen where transposons were discovered. 🙌

Happy to share my first publication on a non-social insect: Mantids! Here we show the first species list of mantids in the Comoé Nationalpark. We found a total of 35 species, with many occuring far more north than expected and 2 being described for the first time in Ivory Coast!
