More, more, more! Europe’s retail property sector needs clarity from 🇪🇺: a market-driven approach; a roadmap to 2030, 2040, and 2050; access to public funds; harmonised standards; + progressive & flexible mobility solutions. More: bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa… #EPBD #ECSP4EU

This week concludes our #ECSP4EU campaign: our overview of ECSP’s 5 key priorities as the EU’s #EPBD heads into trilogues. Shopping places are complex environments. Engage with us as we look to help Europe achieve its climate ambitions. More: bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa…

Shopping malls have the potential to be net-contributors to district energy grids. Electrification requires comprehensive access to public funds & incentives to support their transition. Our sector is investing, but we need support. bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa… #ECSP4EU #EPBD

Big change needs deep pockets. 🇪🇺 shopping mall owners are adapting to the climate challenge, but need guidance on how to access public funds. The transition needs to be economically feasible & commercially viable to work best. bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa… #EPBD #ECSP4EU

This week our #ECSP4EU campaign focuses on our 5th key request as the EU reviews its #EPBD. 🇪🇺 retail property sector will need access to adequately funded public support programmes to deliver 🇪🇺 ambitions. Landlords & tenants will need help. bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa…

A shopping place must be accessible. Parking is key. #ECSP believes new EV standards should be progressive but reflect market realities & grid capacities. Gradual phasing will help avoid congestion & ensure every space is utilised. bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa… #ECSP4EU #EPBD

Shopping places act as integrated transport hubs, welcoming millions of visitors every year. Many already offer EV charging points. Yet green mobility must reflect anticipated demand to avoid overcapacity & loss of accessibility. bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa… #ECSP4EU #EPBD

This week our #ECSP4EU campaign focuses on our fourth key request as the EU reviews its #EPBD. We ask for sustainable mobility standards to be progressive but flexible, with market realities across different member states taken into account. bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa…

What is a Zero-Emissions Building #ZEB? We currently have three separate definitions from EU institutions. The retail property sector needs urgent agreement. ECSP is calling for harmonisation to ensure #EPBD is a success. bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa… #ECSP4EU

Data collection is v imp to ensure #EPBD succeeds. An effective transition for the retail property sector must be fair and clear. But measurements between different asset classes & member states vary considerably. See ECSP’s recs below: #ECSP4EU bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa…

This week our #ECSP4EU campaign focuses on our third key request as the EU reviews its #EPBD. 🇪🇺 needs consistency. While market variations can be respected, measurements and methodologies need to be comparable. Harmonisation is 🔑 for a fair transition. bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa…

A study by @EU_Commission found ⬆️ 50% of envi claims in the EU were vague or misleading. 40% were unsubstantiated. Europe’s retail property sector is ready to work with 🇪🇺 to deliver its 2030 objectives, but we need a clear roadmap. #EPBD #ECSP4EU bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa…

The EU wants all new buildings to be carbon neutral by 2030. This level of change requires a clear and transparent framework. Our industry needs help and support in identifying and clarifying the most effective and efficient approach. #ECSP4EU #EPBD bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa…

This week our #ECSP4EU campaign focuses on our second key request as the EU reviews its #EPBD. Long term renovation strategies will require significant investment. Investors need clarity. We need clear milestones to reach 2030 and beyond. More here: bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa…

Shopping centres are traditionally very complex environments. As the EU reviews its #EPBD, our members believe market driven solutions are best placed to ensure the best chances of securing the EU’s 2030 climate targets. #ECSP4EU bit.ly/ECSPpositionpa…

The revision of the #EPBD is a cornerstone for achieving 🇪🇺 climate targets, and retail property wants to play its part. While 🇪🇺 works to double the annual renovation rate for buildings from 1 to 2%, shopping places are already at 4.4%. More at bit.ly/ECSPblog #ECSP4EU

The revision of the #EPBD is now in trilogue negotiations. We have 5 priorities in mind to ensure its goals can be achieved. The first one is collaboration between the sector and the 🇪🇺 to improve existing renovation roadmaps and avoid the imposition of new processes.…

#RetailProperty is committed to help deliver climate targets, but our sector was hit hard by the pandemic. Many centres provided vital services for those in need but were also shut for long periods. Since then, rents are under pressure + sales have yet to recover. #ECSP4EU #EPBD
