✊🏾 ✍🏾 DY's Salon Series was a powerful day! Last week, @ReneeWauthor, @AlisynCamerota, @EthanHawke, and @LynnBrooklyn led impactful discussions, exploring the African diaspora’s influence on music through dance and song, among other topics, followed by engaging workshops.

Teaching Artists across DreamYard programs came together to investigate the core value of NURTURE and the theme of LIBERATE at DreamYard's Annual TA Retreat. And, veteran teaching artists offered workshops in theater, visual arts and dance! It was truly a retreat for the books!

From 3D printing, sowing, audio production, and more, we are excited to uplift a design studio for local artists and designers to create masterpieces with DreamYard's NEW Design Center!

👗🖤 Inspired by Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower, Aura is a multisensory fashion-art exhibition that explores unity and empathy through augmented reality. Created by DreamYard’s 2024 Fashion-Art summer cohort, it celebrates the diverse talents to a harmonious future.

Our Art Center Program youth had the opportunity to visit the MET, where they learned about the Harlem Renaissance & Transatlantic Modernism, and other cultural highlights. Adding to their summer, the Bronx Zoo generously granted our youth free access to their amazing amenities!

💃 🕺 Summer is in full swing, and to celebrate @MandT_Bank and @TheShedNY welcomed dance students from DreamYard! -- Collaboration between institutions like these with DreamYard enriches our community, providing invaluable resources and support to nurture young artistic talent!

💐🌳 Last week, @GoldmanSachs volunteers and students from our Community Engagement course worked together to revitalize Hayden Lord Park to promote environmental awareness. We appreciate our partners at Goldman Sachs for their commitment to beautifying urban spaces!

The @Nissan Foundation named DreamYard as a 2024 grant recipient! The grant will help fund the Professional Development team. The team guides teaching artists, administration, and community collaborators along the journey to becoming a truly anti-racist society. #NissanDiversity
