Patently False. Jesus' call to look for the Abomination that Causes Desolation as referenced in Daniel unarguably demands that a literal Jewish temple be rebuilt before Jesus returns.
The New Testament does have a lot of temple-talk in it, and there is no prophecy in the New Testament about the expectation that a new temple will be built. There just isn't. Amid all of its temple-talk, you're not going to find that.
The pretrib argument that it is "Jacob's Trouble" and therefore the Church has no involvement is a very poor argument—actually a form of replacement theology. Consider the fact that The New Covenant is Israel's covenant and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is Israel's wedding.
