Which brings up an important side note: while Taylor is VISIBLY brown, being POC is not about your literal skin colour. There are plenty of POC who are pale/fair skinned, but that still doesn't make them white or white passing. For example, all these women are brown.

It's so fucked up how the minute a celebrity of colour is widely regarded as attractive, some weirdo will arrive to claim that they're white passing. The white celebs addicted to spray tans and bronzer era really rotted y'all's brains into thinking that's how they naturally look.
There's been studies suggesting the current gen is more susceptible to misinformation than even Facebook uncles and boomers. People see something posted by a rando online and think "OMG I can't believe that's true" instead of "IS that true? Let me check."
