“Swan-POCUS”. Echocardiographic estimation of haemodynamics and subsequent phenotypization of CS is feasible with good agreement with invasive evaluation. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39012797/

I'm not sure which will be worse, EARLY TAVR or OPTION. Med science is for asking important questions--not designing trials to be positive My take on EARLY TAVR is up. It's quite sad. medscape.com/viewarticle/ea…

100% agree for HFpEF that doesn't have another specific diagnosis (HCM, amyloid, etc). However, to take this a step further, diagnosing CKD is easy and diagnosing HFpEF is evolving and difficult--what does that imply about the need for HFpEF diagnostic algorithms?

Philosophical question: is CKD and HFpEF all that different? If they occur in many of the same individuals If HF is commonly underdiagnosed in CKD, and vice versa If they are treated virtually the same in 2024! #NephJC #CKM

I believe the optimal short term solution to EPIC bloat is to reduce use of templates and type/dictate the extremely short notes that mirror old hand-written notes

Judy Faulkner is the billionaire founder of Epic Systems, and a recent study by Dr. Christine Sinsky reveals the following time spent on Epic per 8 hours seeing patients: • Infectious Disease 8.4 Hours • Endocrinology 7.7 Hours • Nephrology 7.5 Hours • Primary Care 7.3 Hours…
