Love this from #brianbilston, one of my favourite, contemporary poets. I’m torn between Octoblerone and MaycoroniCheese! Which would be your preferred month of the year?! @DLSHeadteacher

Our year 8 students were fortunate to work with the excellent Alan Gibbons recently. Alan is a professional writer and his wonderful writing workshop really helped to improve the quality of student’s creative pieces. Well done to you all 👏🏼✍🏽

The quality of entries in our recent year 7 poetry writing competition was really impressive, making @DLSHeadteacher’s job of choosing our finalists incredibly difficult! Well done to Michael, Francesca, Ella, Isabelle and Connie for producing especially impressive pieces. 👏🏼✍🏽
