Following almost 10 incredible years building Playdead from an idea to two dents in the games industry, I’m leaving to seek new challenges.

Just finished playing Somerville by @jumpshipstudio and I wanted to share. Beautiful, potentially tragic, story that left me pensive. Surprisingly calm, relaxing, but also at moments heartbreaking. I really enjoyed the low poly art style and the camera work. Worth a playthrough.

Going through 537 games submitted for the DevGAMM Awards is no easy feat! Luckily, we have 93 industry professionals as judges to do the work over the next month, and it won't be a quick process.

Playdead's LIMBO was first released 14 years ago today for the Xbox Live Arcade. It has been critically acclaimed for its captivating puzzle design and immersive sound and visuals. Its dark, misty spaces and haunting narrative will stay with you forever.

Our very own Mathias Johansson goes through with retrofitting multiplayer to a fully launched game — and gives you tips! Using coherence, of course. go.coherence.io/bloghellfront #multiplayer #gamedev #hellfront coherence.io/blog/tech-demo…

Day 2 of #GDC2024! Still got a few spots in my schedule. If you're making a multiplayer game, from a 2-player co-op to an MMO, I'd love to show you what we got at @coherenceio that will make your team so much more productive, all the way from prototyping to release – and beyond.

I must admit that I was slightly blown away by the powerful atmosphere, wonderfully presented locations, and thought-provoking plot of #somervillegame All of this served in a truly unique style. Thanks @DinoPatti @ChrisOlsey @jumpshipstudio for this piece of art.

It's risky in the games industry NOT to be bold. I kinda like the black and white.

Still making some experiments with Black & White. I know I should use colors, I know it would be less risky, I know there's more mass appeal in colors... But still... This looks kinda cool right? #gamedevelopment #gaming

We just posted a new video on how to 'run a server' in coherence. It's just the tip of the iceberg (you still need to make your game), but it should show you how we strive to prioritize workflow. youtu.be/v5Ch701Poqg

I didn't expect this, I highly recommend it to play. My video from this game, there may be a little bit of spoilers ;) youtube.com/watch?v=FTI6Sb… @jumpshipstudio @ChrisOlsey @DinoPatti

#Somervillegame finalizado, infelizmente. Infelizmente pq não queria que acabasse tão cedo. Foi o tempo mais bem gasto experimentando e admirando esse jogo. Espero poder jogar algo tão bom quanto outra vez. @jumpshipstudio @ChrisOlsey faça acontecer! Nota 9/10

When making a non-competitive multiplayer game, distributing authority can save a lot on server costs. coherence provides a flexible framework to manage authority in response to gameplay events.

Omg... throwback..

LIMBO street art. Sad they didn't use the door for some kind of puzzle. theartofblouh.deviantart.com/art/Limbo-3325…
