Bad news: Cosponsors of the zero-sum EAGLE Act are increasing day by day. Good news: As a constituent, you could be the one informing your House representative about the devastating effects of this zero-sum bill and convincing them to OPPOSE IT.
Oh, Canada! How Outdated US Immigration Policies Push Top Talent to Other Countries "America is not a zero-sum nation" All of Us testimony for the Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship of the House. @USHouseNews @HouseDemocrats @HouseGOP supallofus.org/2021/06/25/oh-…
Since many of you asked, here are the % shares of the top 50 countries. Again the assertion that caps allow small countries get the same allocation as large countries is patently false.
We advocate for the EB section of president Biden’s bill. It removes the per-country cap BUT sufficiently increases the green cards, ONLY THEN it won’t hurt anyone. Don’t believe IV’s narrative that it cannot pass. They are taking you for granted. Join us to get it done.

The irony with the “Equal Access” to Green cards for Legal Employment (EAGLE) Act is that it leads to decades-long MONOPOLY for ONE country and ONE industry. @AILANational @Ynotgreencards @IraKurzban @gsiskin @mscmiami @ckuck @RepZoeLofgren
Immigrants hired by US corporations must have equal rights to others, which means a green card NOT the temporary H1B visa. This will afford them mobility in case of employer abuse and protect others from wage suppression. The Biden bill fixes this: supallofus.org/2021/02/18/all…
Both sides -- restrictionists & open borders folks -- converge in an ugly place: MORE PEOPLE WITH FEWER RIGHTS. Restrictionists think 'well, at least they don't have green cards.' Open Borders folks think: at least they're here -- & work cheap. Each is shilling for employers.
دوستم یه شوهر بی اعصاب داره بهش میگم شوهرت اصالتش کجاییه؟ میگه ژرمن شپرد 😂😂
We recently wrote to the @USCIS urging them to improve the I-485 processing times. We are glad they are now taking steps in addressing this issue. This is action that cannot wait if available visa numbers are to be used before the end of the fiscal year. @AILANational
We urge @USCIS to give high priority to adjudicating adjustments to legal permanent residency for employment-based immigrants. Please find our letter to @SecMayorkas @SenatorDurbin @RepZoeLofgren @JudiciaryDems supallofus.org/wp-content/upl…
“After October 1, many tens of thousands of green cards may be lost, effectively cutting legal immigration substantially through sheer neglect. USCIS must dedicate the resources to deliver green cards to backlogged employment-based immigrants before the end of this fiscal year.”

Shout out to Nishat for successfully navigating the immigration system. All of Us advocates for allocating sufficient Green Cards to everyone in the backlog. But under the zero-sum country cap bill, dreams of many would be shattered. twitter.com/nishatbuet/sta…
Google is leading an effort to maintain temporary work authorizations for spouses of foreign workers, while simultaneously turning their back on legislation that grant workers green cards. They want indentured servants! Support All of Us to change that. cnbc.com/2021/05/14/goo…
(2/2) The per-country repeal bill, without adding green cards, would crush the number of immigrants from Africa and destroys diversity, equity, and inclusion in our immigration system.
(1/2) Since 1990, we have had more family- and employment-based immigration from Africa than in the entire 200 years of prior U.S. history. ieeeusa.org/wp-content/upl…
"Be clear what “immigration” means: green cards, not guest worker visas. Immigration means legal permanent residency, not indefinitely temporary authorization to work ... Citizenship is the goal." Read our Opinion on Washington Post washingtonpost.com/opinions/lette…
