🔺Poll: Backing for Scottish independence rises to 54 per cent. thetimes.com/article/49b721…

Does anyone know which of the opposition parties have complained that the SNP is attempting to outflank Labour and put pressure on the UK Labour Govt? Is it Alba? LDs? Tories? There's a strong suspicion here that Lynsey Bews is making this up, which would be very serious.

Can Lynsey Bews tell us which 'opposition parties' are complaining that poor Labour has been outflanked? Also, if "some cash" for preparatory work isn't legitimate budget funding, then what is it? Magic money?

The SNP govt running rings & making an utter fool out of Sarwar and about time. About time this fraud of a ‘Scot’ was booted out of Holyrood for constantly lying to the Scottish people. It has been a truly awful week for Anas Sarwar and Scottish Labour thenational.scot/news/24775649.…

NEW: John Swinney has hit out at Anas Sarwar for not changing his script 'in a very basic exchange' at FMQs 🗣️'It's not good enough for Mr Sarwar if he can't even step up to be a decent leader of an opposition party to aspire to do anything else'

Starmer is visiting Scotland today. The chances of any BBC Scotland reporter challenging him on the national insurance hike, GB Energy promises or the two child benefit cap are all but zero. STV News might challenge him, if Starmer allows them in. He barred them last time.

The worst possible response to the SNP's two child cap announcement was to pretend somehow that it didn't happen. This is what Sarwar has now done. He froze and has now panicked. Even his most ardent media allies can't sell this line. It will have to be refined ... somehow.

Anas Sarwar's response to the SNP announcement that it will scrap the two child benefit cap is to pretend it isn't actually part of the Scottish Budget. Covering your ears whilst shouting 'Not Listening' isn't a credible stance. This is the political equivalent of freezing.

We're now seeing just how poor a politician Anas Sarwar is. No principles and no guile. Fine when handed a platform to attack the SNP, his limitations are cruelly exposed when faced with awkward political situations and forced to react. A very poor leader.

Excellent! #After the damning report on the #NHS in #England, the idiot puppet #AnasSarwar decides to use his question to criticise the NHS in #Scotland! #FMQs

Clown just a puppet fir yir imperial masters in Westminster

With the @UKLabour Government’s record funding for Scotland, the pledge to bring waiting lists down to one year is far from good enough. Lacking ambition and urgency to tackle the many problems facing people and communities.

You can see #ShiftySarwar is stumped by @Scotgov intention to lift the two child cap & assist with winter fuel payment. He’s lost two key issues for 2026 already #FMQs #ShiftySarwar will now have to wait for instruction from Starmer

Anas Sarwar's childish antics at FMQ's were embarrassing. John Swinney handed him his backside on a plate. This clip summed Sarwar up.

An example of long NHS waiting times south of the border. Remember this when Anas Sarwar claims only Scotland's NHS has challenges and those challenges are the fault of the SNP.

Sarwar's juvenile behaviour is indicative of someone who knows the game is up and, out of bitterness, jettisons the dignified & mature politician act.

BMA Scotland chief Iain Kennedy was on Radio Scotland at lunchtime and, despite GP practices being a key part of the interview, he again failed to mention the damage Labour's national insurance hike will cause. Surely he should be voicing the concerns of all of his members?

Paisley international airport Reposted

When even Scottish Labour's media activist-in-chief posts this, you know Sarwar's in trouble. Worst possible scenario? Sarwar abstains but Leonard and Rowley, who have both called for the winter fuel cut and two child cap to be scrapped, rebel and back the SNP budget.

It's now apparent that Anas Sarwar can't win Holyrood 2026 on policy. The SNP budget has closed that route off. His 'change' slogan is now redundant. Which SNP policy is he going to change? Winter fuel payment? Two child cap? NHS funding? Tuition fees? Sarwar's in deep trouble.…

Anas Sarwar has been comprehensively outmanoeuvred by John Swinney. It's difficult to think of a policy area that's been left open to Scottish Labour for Holyrood 2026. Fewer NHS boards isn't a game changer. Sarwar's only hope is if Neil Gray messes up with the NHS.
