So I just finished bojack horseman... an emotional gut punch of a show and one of the best shows ever made in my opinion, if you have the opportunity take some time to watch it, it's well worth the investment!

See it before the dipshits running the film industry rob you of the opportunity! Some of the best sound design and cinematography you will ever experience on the big screen.

‘FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA’ has been removed from -880 theaters already after only 2 weeks of release in the US. The film earned only $4.2M domestically this weekend, leaving the Top 5.

Bojack Horseman's message is that anyone can reach happiness, no matter where they start from, but you have to work at it every day, forgive yourself when you fall short, and accept that nobody else can do it for you

Bojack Horsemans message is just misery while Smiling Friends tries to be more positive.

Dominic Thiem uppges lägga av i höst. En av mina absoluta favoritspelare när han var på sin peak. Väldigt glad att han lyckades vinna en Slam innan skadorna tog över.

Dominic Thiem will reportedly retire at the end of the season at home in Austria. You have to feel for him. He’s had a terrible time with injuries & just hasn’t been able to rediscover the magic, but he certainly tried. Hoping his last year will give him some unforgettable…

Tokyo Revengers. Bleach. Heavenly Delusion. Undead Unluck. Sand Land. Summertime Rendering. These Anime should have been HUGE. Some even were... before Disney+ and Hulu got to them. It's almost like they WANT these shows to fail. youtu.be/IQe6z02M9OY

“It’s done,” is the moment that marks “Dune” as a grand tragedy, with every subsequent event flowing inexorably from a choice that was never really a choice.

I love this one-scene character in Dune, the Herald of the Change (musician Benjamin Clementine) who handles the transfer of power on the planet on behalf of the emperor. When he says simply “it’s done” you can tell he actually means “you’re fucked.”

A very sad day :(

That’s why, say, “John Wick 4”, “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” and “Hunger Games” landed better than “The Flash” or “Dial of Destiny.” “Flash” and “Dial” are nostalgic for 1989, 34 years earlier - the edge of the key demo. The others are nostalgic for things in the last decade.

David Svensson Reposted

To be fair, nostalgia sells if you can package it to 18-34 year olds. As cynical as I am about nostalgia, “Dial of Destiny” and “The Flash” didn’t fail because they were nostalgic. They failed because they were nostalgic for things that likely cinemagoers don’t care about.

I think we saw with last year in general that IP helps, but it isn't always enough. And it's got to be the right kind of IP. No one cared about Indiana Jones or Michael Keaton as Batman. Whereas a new HUNGER GAMES movie did well just off the brand name, without even any stars

Sequels all the time get hailed as “this generations Empire Strikes Back”, but DUNE PART TWO might be the only one that actually deserves it. A textbook epic of grand scale and mythology. Seeing it in a pack crowd was incredible. Need part three immediately. #DunePart2

A lot of people critiquing this (rightfully so) and I think we can all agree there would be nothing funnier than reshoots to put the sexism back in

This is also a testament to a distributor @GKIDSfilms who cares, cares, cares about the entire medium of animation and the films they support.

The Boy and the Heron has opened at #1 at the domestic box office grossing $12.8 million in its first week and becoming the first Miyazaki film to open at number one in the US. This is a well deserved honor for Studio Ghibli and I hope this allows their audience to grow further.

Don't forget that on top of zero marketing in North America, they also blocked the rights for other countries. No way to watch Undead Unlock legally from LATAM for example.
