We had our RSV staff awareness week recently in anticipation of the new vaccine programme. Well done to all our staff supporting women to make informed decisions about vaccines and increasing uptake 🙌🏾

We are thrilled to be offering the RSV vaccine to all pregnant women and birthing people from 28 weeks of pregnancy. This will help protect your baby from bronchiolitis. Visit the walk in vaccine clinic in the obstetric scan department Mon-Fri 8-4pm.

It’s Black maternal health week! Despite progress, Black women are still four times more likely to die in pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period in the UK (MBRRACE 2023) Each day has a different theme all under the overarching goal of 'Advancing Black Maternal Health'

Say No To FGM #EndFgm Let’s stop this Bill now. It’s a fundamental human right to protect children from abuse. FGM is child abuse. @BBCAfrica @world_midwives @WHO @UNWomenUK

“This is about women and the control of women’s bodies.” Despite outcry from activists and survivors, #TheGambia’s parliament advanced a bill to decriminalise female genital mutilation. If the bill is passed, the country could become the first to reverse a ban on FGM.

Someone once told me, one of the qualities of a good leader is listening 🙌🏾

#IDM2022 The year of the Pinard stethoscope ✨ This year has reminded me of the importance of ACTIVELY listening! Listening to women and colleagues 💕 #midwifery #QualityImporvement

Cervical screening is one of the best ways to protect yourself from cervical cancer. It's not a test for cancer, it's a test to help prevent cancer. Protect yourself — attend your cervical screening when invited. nhs.uk/cervicalscreen…

The Safe Learning Environment Charter has now been published. It was put in place to help providers ensure they offer a supportive environment for their learners. We would encourage everyone working in midwifery and midwifery learning to read the charter orlo.uk/ilKYe

Today is the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). FGM is an extreme form of discrimination against women, violates human rights, and causes serious health harms. It must be prevented. #EndFGM! ➡️ bit.ly/40qHLHE
