I'm excited to announce that I wrote a new book on Matthew 5:17-20! You should buy it and get an extra copy to give to your antinomian uncle. Hope it blesses you! LINK: a.co/d/3kPz3VG

Jubilees is a fascinating book that provides a window into the world of Second Temple Judaism. However, instead of appreciating it for what it is, a few teachers on the Internet exaggerate its significance and consider it to be inspired Scripture. davidwilber.com/articles/the-b…

A silver lining to spending all my money on books is that, if I ever can’t make my mortgage payment, I’ll have enough books to build a house out of them!

There is no good reason to think that Paul stopped following the Sabbath and biblical festivals when he started following Messiah. The books of Acts and 1 Corinthians record that Paul continued to keep them (Acts 13:14, 44; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; 20:6, 16; 27:9; 1 Cor. 16:8).

A popular TikToker by the name of Kristi Burke recently argued that abortion isn't murder, and she used some interesting analogies to make her case. This is my response. davidwilber.com/videos/does-te…

I'm incredibly grateful for this recent review of my book, "How Jesus Fulfilled the Law." Get your copy here: a.co/d/9M6AS09

Colossians 2:16-17 does not condemn the observance of the Sabbath, festivals, and food laws. davidwilber.com/videos/let-no-…

The OT commands Sabbath observance, and the key question is whether that expectation changed in the NT. Luke’s Gospel and Acts offer no indication that anything changed. Jesus and the earliest Christians acted as if the command to keep the Sabbath remained in effect.

Kids asked me if mermaids were kosher this morning.

My favorite scholarly papers are those that directly quote all the primary sources that everyone references, showing that these sources don't actually say what everyone claims they do.

FREE, LIFE-CHANGING ADVICE for aspiring academics: If a secondary source cites a primary source that you want to use in your own work, you really, really, REALLY must go back and read that primary source before citing it in your own work. You’re welcome.

Shabbat Shalom, everyone! May your day of rest be blessed!

Pastor Greg Locke recently preached a sermon in which he stated that God's command to observe the Sabbath is a "demonic doctrine." This is my response. davidwilber.com/videos/the-sab…

True faith in Yeshua is much more than merely believing in God. After all, "even the demons believe—and shudder!" (James 2:19) If we want to have an authentic, living faith, we must follow through with what our faith in Yeshua requires and be doers of the word (James 1:22).

I think it’s important to remember that the 2024 election isn’t really about choosing a President—it’s about the friends we made along the way!

James teaches us that when we pray in faith for the sick to be healed, we can expect that they will be healed (James 5:15). However, it seems that most of the time the sick are not healed when we pray for them. Why? davidwilber.com/articles/when-…

In Gal 4:8-11, Paul rebukes the Galatians for observing “days and months and seasons and years.” But what exactly does Paul mean by this phrase? davidwilber.com/videos/enslave…

There is no such thing as "spare time." Time is humanity's most precious resource. There is only time well spent and time wasted.
