Shaun Mcgruddy has been outed for 12 weeks for having an argument with a fellow jockey. It does appear to be a harsh penalty. Did it bring racing in to dispute? It is sad when a jockey has his livelihood taken away from him & he has to battle weight control. good luck Shaun.
What a great shame we will not have the Melbourne cup parade this year. It has been a wonderful spectacle for everyone to see over many past decades. The past melbourne cup winners, trainers, jockeys & owners enjoying the excitement, the ovations & atmosphere of the spectators.

So sad to hear Dean Holland has died after falling in race 1 at Donald. He has been riding so successfully in recent months. Top trainers were using him regularly. I had a lot of success too following him. Very sad day. Particularly for his wife & young family. Rest in Peace.

It’s a big disappointment Blake Shinn has not been a success in Hong Kong. He’s a great jockey. When he left Sydney he was riding in wonderful form. We hoped Blake would continue riding many winners in Hong Kong. Perhaps all will come together sooner rather than later. Hope so.🐎
