I’ve been pretty meh on Twitter for a long time. Tonight only, I’m back on.

How many Minneapolis City Council members does it take for ... disagreement to break out? Apparently only 2. As evidenced by today's non-quorum committee non-meeting, where no action was taken, not even attendance. But Wonsley and Palmisano were there. youtu.be/1oJKqE7ordw?si…

Mpls council members who've supported higher driver pay, regardless of Uber and Lyft threats, have been waiting for this. The up-and-running status of alternatives now makes it less likely they'll budge beyond where they're at now ($1.27/mile likely to be voted on next week)

I just tried the new ride-share app WRIDZ. The ride was $5 and the driver gets 100% of the fare. Uber was charging $9.82 and Lyft was charging $8.57.

To everyone who is like, "What's it like covering Minneapolis City Hall?" and I say "It's pretty crazy," let me amend my response ...

Wild finish on the House Floor early Thursday morning when Speaker Hortman suddenly called for a roll call on the Paid Leave bill, ending a debate that had gone for 8 hours. The voices you hear are outraged Republicans. (Clip 1 of 2)

Happy MN fishing opener! Just now off the Gunflint Trail.
