The importance of de-#colonization in the #Russia-West confrontation: the centrality of the Global South and the need for the North to articulate a postcolonial agenda in response to refound Soviet-style aggressiveness. Thanks @E_IR: literally published before I noticed!

Thanks to EU!RADIO @UACES @ideasoneurope I had the occasion to outline the main features and challenges of the #Refugee emergency provoked by #UkraineRussiaWar, one year since the start of the invasion: 1st of all, realistic (sustained) support. euradio.fr/emission/2jLK-…

11 reasons behind #GiorgiaMeloni's victory that international analyses often neglect or misunderstand. Thanks @ProfMartinJBull and @ECPR_TheLoop for a great editing. #italian politics, #italianelections #Italy

By the time 🇮🇹 Italians headed to the polls 🗳️ in September for #elezione2022, the victory of #GiorgiaMeloni’s #FratellidItalia was a foregone conclusion. @DarioMazzola89 examines what led to the most #RightWingGovernment in the #ItalianRepublic's history bit.ly/3fQjkRq

By the way, it has been a good moment to come across this outstanding analysis by @BrunoCava Sober, balanced, realistic, and insightful as I like. Classic @AJEnglish aljazeera.com/opinions/2022/…

#Lula wins!!! What a contest! Historical turn on the background of increasing relevance and protagonism of #BRICS on the world stage. Curious to see how this plays out regarding e.g. world peace. Now eyes turn to the North of the American continent. #Brazilelections

😅 this! 🤣

Twitter is great because it's allowed me to connect with so many academics that I admire, and then debase myself in front of them

#EnricoMattei, hero of the anti-Fascist resistance, and the economic miracle, created ENI to break the monopoly of the 7 Sisters, and granted countries in the South 75% of the revenues. His airplane was blown up on 27.10.62, probably by the CIA or the OAS. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enrico_Ma…

... and I would add, why Global South/East authors and institutions are basically invisible/censored even in fields such as the humanities, where there are no technological or material pretexts to justify the disproportionate visibility of the Global North/West?

If you're currently writing something, ask yourself who & why you are citing someone. Ask yourself why certain peoples, histories, & geographies aren't part of the discussion. Do you engage in serious dialogue with the Global South? Are certain texts included only for decoration?
