Feeling lucky to be back working @BHRUT_SLT after Maternity Leave, although definitely tough dropping off the little one (there were tears, definitely all mine). Any tips for a successful return to work? #mySLTday #neonatalSLT #paediatricSLT
Very excited to share that this job is now live! A brand new neonatal and paediatric SLT post within NWAFT across 2 hospitals. Looking for the final member to round out this incredible team of neonatal AHPPs and develop the service. nwangliaft.nhs.uk/our-current-va…
Disgusted by the racist, Islamophobic and Xenophobic riots and horrified to hear that my home city of Birmingham where we were visiting at the weekend is shutting up ahead of more planned violence. I stand with all my NHS colleagues of the Global Majority #UKRiots
Just a @BHRUT_SLT, a @BHRUT_NHS nurse staying active with a lunchtime walk, with a child, at a new location…can we tick all three? @BHR_AHPs #AHPsActive @WeAHPs
In support of #WBW2024 let’s share the benefits of breastfeeding: - Excellent source of nutrients, antibodies & immune supporting factors - Aids digestion - It’s convenient & accessible - Supports growth & development - Encourages bonding & attachment
There is a close relationship between breastfeeding and maternal mental health. Laura shares how challenges with breastfeeding her third child, born prematurely, affected her mental health. Read her story: bit.ly/3A28Ckt #WorldBreastfeedingWeek
It’s #WorldBreastfeedingWeek2024 in the UK we have one of the lowest rates of breastfeeding in the world, with 24% exclusively breastfed at 6 weeks (WHO,2024). In 2023 we @BHRUT_SLT kept our Baby Friendly Stage 2 accreditation where staff show they can support breastfeeding
Excited to be part of this and looking forward to seeing the final result!

I’ve been working in the NICU @BHRUT_SLT and know the principles of Family Integrated Care but have never attended training. Good to have this from @LdnNeonatal and hope it’s taken up by my AHP and Neonatologist colleagues #FICare

This study got me wondering what follow up from the NICU looks like in terms of MDT involvement elsewhere in the UK? With us @BHRUT_NHS clinics are with the Neonatologist and ad hoc PT involvement for specific Ax @LondonPDCEN @NeoSLTCEN @LdnNeonatal
