Jacob Baucom (3-1) winning pitcher for Kannapolis today, with relief help from Brody Nelson. Jake Dameron had a homer and a double. Michael Gracer had three hits to lead a 14-hit attack.
Towelers pick up a Win 9-4 over Rutherford County to even our record to 1-1 in the State Tournament. Jacob Baucom started 4.2 IP got the win. Brody Nelson with last 2.1 scoreless IP. Gracer 3 hits. Alderfer, Dameron, Oehler, Ervin, Grady 2 hits each. Jake Dameron with a HR.
Kannapolis in state tournament today for first time in 15 years when Kyle Seager was in the lineup. Remember an amazing battle at Finch Field with Madison Bumgarner’s Caldwell County squad that went extras.
Legion state tournament pool play schedule for Kannapolis. ... Fuquay-Varina at 4 on Wednesday, Rutherford at 10 on Thursday, Wilmington at 7 on Friday.
