Absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ve accepted a Band 5 role working in a specialist, independent school for children with SLCN... My dream job!✨🥂 #SLT2B #NQP

Last week I attended the ‘Introduction to Mindfulness for SLTs’ course at City Lit with Carolyn Cheasman and Dh Karunavira. It was so insightful and enlightening - I would definitely recommend! 🧘

Such a sad, yet heartwarming read... “I am extremely grateful to everyone concerned for giving me back my voice."

As a current #SLP who also had a speech sound disorder as a kid, I am SO excited about this!! Articulation therapy can be boring, especially for my students in middle school. I can’t wait to try this next week in therapy!

Repetition is boring but when you have a speech disorder, repetition is key to your treatment. That's why we partnered with @AppleMusic & @WarnerMusicUK to create #Saylists. A collection of playlists where singing can help your speech. Find your Saylist! bit.ly/saylists

Hello all - here is the link to a drive of Band 5 SLT interview questions, if you cannot access it drop me a DM and I can email you. drive.google.com/drive/folders/…

I have found 15 pages of interview questions for band 5 adult SLT posts from a wonderful placement educator, let me know if these would be helpful for you & I can email them across!

Feeling inspired after attending the 2-day Palin PCI online training course. I look forward to putting my new knowledge into practice! @thepalincentre #PalinPCI #SLT2B

Just watched the insightful #ICantSayMyName stammering documentary on BBC1. Makes me very proud to be a volunteer at @thepalincentre Always important to remember that “everyone needs to be heard”👏🏻

I honestly feel like many people lack awareness of what SLT’s actually do. This provides a detailed overview covering the many aspects that our job entails. Proud to be a part of such a rewarding profession 👏🏻 #slt2b

81% of children with social, emotional and mental health needs have language difficulties. It’s crucial that as a society we recognise this and give these children and young people the support they need to express themselves #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek #ExpressYourself

Really enjoyed watching #harveyandme, getting an insight into @KatiePrice’s life, documenting the challenges faced re: transitioning to adulthood as a parent of a child with Autism and complex needs; and most importantly, as Harvey’s mum. Such an inspirational family and story 💜

Not long to go now...catch me and Harvey Monday night on @BBCOne at 8:30pm 🐸❤🚈

Thinking of my fellow #slt2b this evening. Online learning is lonely especially with the pressures of third year. It all feels a bit much right now & that’s okay.
