On here I post Doctor Who facts just to spread some more doccy who knowledge every day. You may know a few of them already but a lot are very out there and niche. I used to post these on the Community Page on my YT (In Bio) but moved it onto this, so enjoy or something.

Doctor Who holds many World Records but my personal favourite, is from 2022. William Russell's cameo in POTD marked his first appearance since 1965. This 57 year gap was the longest gap in appearances an actor, as the character, has ever made in a TV show. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

Doctor Who is banned in China. As you probably know China is very strict with the media shown there and Dr Who is on the long list of banned TV media. This is because anything depicting Time Travel and Re-Writing history is not allowed there. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

Doctor Who's 50th anniversary almost didn't have the Doctor in it. Matt Smith's contract had come to an end by that time and the only confirmed actor was Jenna Coleman (Clara). Luckily Matt Smith did return and then David Tennant and John Hurt joined him. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

While filming her last episode, Jodie Whittaker was in the early stages of pregnancy. You couldn't tell she was pregnant but the fetus would've had a heartbeat. This means that she was the first ever Doctor to have 2 hearts and even during a regeneration. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

The 3rd Doctor's story 'The Sea Devils' was investigated by the MI5. In this episode various pieces of (prop) naval tech was used but it seemed so legit that the MI5 thought it was too similar to to a top-secret prototype being made at the time. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

Regeneration can obviously change a timelords gender but that wasn't officially a thing for a very long time. Talks of a Female Doctor happened in the 80s but never happened and it wasn't until 2011 where it was actually confirmed to be possible in-show. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

Torchwood's hub was famously blown up in Torchwood: Children of Earth. This was because the hub set was needed to create the 11th Doctor's TARDIS and since there was only 3 members of Torchwood the hub didn't seem necessary, so they just removed the hub. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

Jon Pertwee got a tattoo drunkenly one night on his right arm while in the Navy. By the time he came to acting he still had this and you can see it in certain scenes while he was the Doctor, making him (as far as I'm aware) the only Doctor to have one. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

Captain Jack was supposed to be Doctor Who series 6 but John Barrowman was busy filming Torchwood: Miracle Day so he was replaced by Dorium Maldovar. If it happened, Jack was going to have his head chopped off to explain how he became the Face of Boe. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

Doctor Who's most viewed episode of all time is the 4th Doctor story 'City of Death: Part Four' (1979) with over 16 million viewers. The highest New Who episode is 'Voyage of the Damned', the 10th Doctor's 2007 Christmas Special. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

There's a chance that Doctor Who exists inside of Doctor Who. In the 7th Doctor story 'Remembrance of the Daleks' set in 1963 a TV announces a new Sci-Fi Television program called "Do-". It gets cut off like that in the episode but is undeniably Doctor Who. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

The Doctor archives ever TARDIS room that's ever existed meaning every companion's room is sealed off and saved. The Doctor makes an effort to keep them in the same condition they were left in to keep their memories alive. Amy & Rory's bunkbed lives on #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

A couple years after Jon Pertwee left Doctor Who he started a restaurant called Pertwee's Burgers. This lasted 5 years but started to take over his life so he sold it to focus once again on acting. It somewhat still exists as a kebab shop in London. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

River Song's name was created by writer Steven Moffat so it could be used in a title "A River Song Ending". They did this as a joke because when you combine the first letters of word in the title it spells A-R-S-E. Classic Moffat. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

The novel of The Day of The Doctor said the 1st & 2nd Doctor's were colourblind. This was a fun reference to how both these eras were in Black and White. However there are moments for each Doctor where they mention colours which slightly contradicts that. #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

In 1984 an asteroid was discovered in the Main Asteroid Belt by an astronomer called Brian Skiff. Apparently he was a Doctor Who fan because he named this asteroid '3325 TARDIS'. But the real question is whether this asteroid is in the Whoniverse as well? #DoctorWho #DrWhoFacts

The Doctor Who BBC Proms showcases the music of the show, most of which made by Murray Gold, but it also has special exclusive scenes featuring the Doctor, villains like the Daleks being there in-person, actors from the show, and much more. #DoctorWho #DoctorWhoProms #DrWhoFacts
