Today wrapped up the semester for DKC. We presented our design review to our project partners and design reviewers. It was a great success, DKO and KTT both showed their progress this semester and got wonderful feedback from the reviewers. We would like to thank all who attended.
Our community partner is Deaf Kids Code. Their mission is to give deaf children who are interested in coding a medium to teach themselves and give them access to more opportunities in the future. We are very thankful to have such a great partnership with DKC!
🚨Progress Update🚨: KTT: They've accomplished sending RF signals from the remote to the receiver and displaying stroke rate on the LCD screen. They are currently focused on strengthening the signal being sent, continuing waterproof testing, and finishing the code with the light.
🚨Progress Update🚨: DKO: All nine main pages have their basic visual components coded. They also started working on routing and interactions from the frontend to the backend. They are currently focusing on adding features (pdf/links/video playlists) to the website.
Today, over a video call, DKO and KTT had very successful Mid-semester Design Review presentations to our project partners and design reviewers. We learned many great ideas and suggestions to take forward as we progress in the completion of both projects. Great work ahead!
Amazed by the amount of work that @DKC_Epics showed at their final design review! Only great leaderships and team players can do this considering the roadblocks that #COVID19 have caused for the progress in academia. Thank you @EPICSPurdue for having me as a reviewer.
Team DKO's final meeting was today! This team has made significant progress during the past semester. Can't wait to see what next semester brings for DKO!@EPICSPurdue
