Numb from news this morning of José Baselga's passing. Larger than life and a true giant of the field, he helped transform oncology care and saved countless lives. Personally, José also played a central role in my career. I will miss him dearly.

While manning the front lines of the pandemic during the spring NYC wave, @HymanJaime also found time to help contribute to our understanding of #COVID19

Our amazing MICU director @Doclief, and one of 4 @WomenAs1 who saved our hospital during the pandemic (w @NIvascuMD, Maria Karas, and Kelly Griffin), so well articulates how we felt and still feel about the #COVID19 crisis. So many emotions watching this. vimeo.com/428306880

I didn’t even remember this and certainly would not have predicted this would be a featured clip. But it was real. And devastating. #COVID19 thanks @RonSuskind for capturing it

Before my amazing wife became a #COVID19 doc this week, she was a more than full time clinical anesthesiologist 😷 who somehow found the time to run a rigorously designed 140 patient RCT. A tireless ~5-year effort with practice-changing results. I simply could not be more proud🥰

Really looking forward to the day when PONV is a significant concern for anesthesiologists and our patients again!
