Not been to the Fiddle Drill for a while. It would be nice if the runny yoke egg was back on the menu 👍🏼

Only in Yorkshire … coloured wool instead of table numbers! A few of us out on a Yorkshire Wolds loop today with amazing food at the Fiddle Drill cafe 🚴‍♀️

I’ve not written a new blog post in a while, so here’s a route out of Stamford Bridge - one of the #BigSkiesBikeRides - that passes through the pretty villages of Millington & Bishop Wilton, with a testing climb of Acklam Wold. I rode it ODT 11 years ago: yorkshirewoldscycleroute.co.uk/shorter-loops-…

Not seen Bishop Wilton featured on the news lately? St Edith’s church - on the #SykesChurchesTrail - the Fleece Inn & the Community Shop are all worth a visit. This by Rob Ainsley (he says there are plans for a purpose built bike rack) is worth a read: e2e.bike/yorkshire-ridi…

A lovely day for it. Like Piccadilly Circus this morning in Huggate! Nice to chat with some of the party before setting off on our respective journeys. May cross paths again when they pass through Thixendale 🤔… … but for now, refreshments 👍🏼

Hike underway! Today we’re exploring the stunning Yorkshire Wolds Way, with its breathtaking dry chalk valleys and historic sites. What a way to enjoy the great outdoors together! 🌳 #FestivalOfWalking

Some long shadows across the fields by the end of today's day in the saddle. A challenging but rewarding ride taking in the varied scenery of the wonderful Yorkshire Wolds connect.garmin.com/modern/activit… #HockneyTrail

Is it just me or does anyone else think there should be a nice bench or something here? Anyway, enjoyable but surprisingly tiring bike ride today. Just what I needed, though 👍 connect.garmin.com/modern/activit… #RedKiteBikeRide

Early morning catch up ride over ‘the’ bridge. Good stuff 👍🏼

A rare glimpse of blue sky during the first half of yesterday's ride (of course it turned in to a lovely day by journey's end) passing through Sledmere. SLOW day in the saddle indeed, but planning a few rides next week to grope towards a bit of fitness... connect.garmin.com/modern/activit…

Rode for an hour or so on a catch-up ride yesterday before going our separate ways after Warter - yorkshirewoldscycleroute.co.uk/cycling-climbs… - so a bit of a funny route, but wanted to pass through Millington Dale, and also stock up on coffee beans 👍🏼 connect.garmin.com/modern/activit…

Grey skies, but barely a drop of the forecast downpour passing through Millington earlier. A fair few red kite and runners, though. A meandering route to justify the sausage and mushroom sandwich for elevenses 👍🏼

Cheeky out-and-back pub refreshments ride along the @tpt_national stretch called the Hornsea Trail. Young 'un practising her turbo charge from the stoker's seat and eldest on his MTB. Good to see a metal replacement picnic table in place of the melted resin one 👍

Short catch-up coffee shop ride this morning. Chilly start - got the big jacket out - but the threatened rain gave way to blue skies. Red kite in abundance. connect.garmin.com/modern/activit…
