You know what this neighborhood needs? Surface parking lots. A TON of surface parking lots. And a big highway cutting right through it. Now *this* is progress. 1955 vs 2022

Part of the Olentangy trail through Whetstone Park is closed in both directions as of a few minutes ago. Looks like a fallen tree, so hopefully will reopen soon. No posted detour so I took this route to the bridge. Recommend taking the sidewalk on Henderson if riding through.

That was well worth the bike ride up to Worthington to see totality! Crazy how dark and cool it got so quickly. These pics are about 5 minutes apart. So many people riding bikes on the trail to see the eclipse, this is just a few of them.

i know very little about cbus, but this east-west dividing line in the strava heatmap north of downtown is wild

Apparently the stop line is just a suggestion when making a right on red at Ackerman and Olentangy Not pictured: the half-hearted wave and mouthed “sorry” from the lady driving the second car

In 1985 COTA wanted to test a commuter railbus on existing track that could reach up to 70 mph. It was never tested because of issues with insurance and funding. "...if Columbus ever has rail service for commuters, it is at least 10 years away." Articles + pic from the Dispatch
