this is why i think no llm can ever be skilled in the physical world: the whole technology is "based on a (based on a (based on a true story) story) story"

i set real-world engineering solutions as my intelligence threshold for ai bc 1. that's a field i can sorta evaluate and 2. it takes more than sounding plausible to do it, physics takes no bs but ok, can ai already do this without leading questions? let's see what claude does 🧵

Election hashtags or flooded with blue tick bots talking about the like button. Good illustration of what a dump Elon turned the site into

You just watch. They'll end this war with their cities bombed out and population killed, their alliances destroyed and leaders dead, but they'll declare themselves the real winners because they exposed the evil of the Zionists to the world for everyone to see.

I’ve posted about it before, but Barbara Tuchman’s A DISTANT MIRROR is one the best books I’ve ever owned. It’s a history of 14th century Europe, but also something far more than that: a fever dream of an apocalyptic future. You read it thinking, “Could this happen again?”

So there's a particular quirk of English grammar that I've always found quite endearing: the exocentric verb-noun compound agent noun. It appears in a definite, remarkably narrow period - not more than 150, 200 years - before dying out, leaving loads of legacy words in its wake.

Incredible. Only NOW that Europe's AI Act is coming into force is its author realizing it: - Probably goes too far; - Discourages European companies from investing in AI; and - Entrenches Big Tech's position (like most regulation) 🤦‍♂️
