Today, SHS Principal Gailynn Warr passed the Excellence in Leadership Award on to TJHS V. Principal Dave Whiting. Warr expressed her appreciation for Whiting and his sincerity and leadership he has provided over the years. Thank you Mr. Whiting for your dedication to education.

Congrats to Tooele High School teacher Natalie Henwood on winning both the Utah and @NationalFCCLA Spirit of Advising Award! The award recognizes chapter advisers who are constantly faithful and often quietly working behind the scenes to ensure the success of their students.
Last week, at our Community Learning Center, we held two engineering camps for students in grades 7-12. The 76 participants designed, built, and coded catapults. They learned how to use a laser cutter, CNC mill, and 3-D printer. Registration for next year's camp will open in May.

Today, Grantsville, Stansbury, and Tooele High School are recognizing Class of 2021 members who completed at least one Career and Technical Education Pathway. A total of 839 Pathway Awards were earned by 550 students. Congrats to all! @CteTooele
This week, TCSD students involved with the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America organization (FCCLA) attended a state-level competition virtually. Seventeen of our students received awards and some of them even qualified for nationals. #FCCLA

This year, @ClarkeNJohnsen is running a pilot program called "Lunch and Learn." Once a month, students have the option to eat lunch in a classroom while learning about career and technical education courses available to them during high school and beyond. #teamtcsd @tooeletech

Today, students from the Russian DLI program at Overlake Elementary, Graphics Design students from the CLC, Anna Smith Elementary students and students in the Tooele High Chamber Orchestra represented TCSD at District Schools Day On The Hill.

Mrs. Warr came to Little Stallion Preschool today. It was pirate day and she had some treasure to share with the Little Stallions. They had so much fun being pirates. Mrs. Warr, thank you for having some fun with us and bringing treasure.
