First dessicant sprayed on Friday (Aug 23). Soybeans at R6.5. Many more combos to spray sodium chlorate: 2 planting dates x 3 maturities x 2 timings (R6.5, R7). Here’s day of treatment and 3 days later: dessicant vs normal senescence. @SoybeanScience1 @PurdueAg @PurdueExtension

Pulled the sides and dropped the turface out of the prescription cover crop mix root boxes. We learned quite a bit about root morphology and interactions in polycultures. Much to improve on for the next round.

So innovative. So many questions…!

How do you harvest? How do you plant? How can you make it better? What will you do next year? Why are we infatuated with 5-7 more bushels instead of elimination (not spending $ to begin with ) (lowering break even) through systems think?
