Obviously if you have no connection to the industry, you can cosplay from whatever you want but if you like to support the people who make what we watch, just avoid cosplaying from struck production. If it isn't a concern for you, cosplay on.
I don't believe SAG is asking everyone to stop cosplaying from struck productions but there are influencers who have signed SAG agreements. Some influencers also cosplay so I can see how easy It is to make the jump to a blanket statement.

Cosplay swap meets makes so much sense : opportunity to sell/trade materials you don't use anymore, keep materials from the trashcan and maybe save/make a bit of money along the way. Really this should be standard at cons.
I was curious how many people can be at AX at one time. What's the official capacity of the LA Convention Center where AX is held. LACC composed of South Hall and West Hall as well as the connecting walkways, etc. Together the two halls capacity for seated people is 37,870
