Am I loyal to Oregonians or my moneyed backers? What’s my record on forests, wildfire, schools, clean water, guns and school safety?

Both Betsy and Christine have taken huge amounts from large corporate logging companies, who are banking on maintaining the status quo of big tax breaks - instead of providing adequate resources for essential services in rural Oregon.

Instead of shifting wildfire costs to industrial timber landowners, who own about 30% of the 16 million acres, the proposal cuts their contribution by $12 million a year, according to a Capital Chronicle analysis of the proposal. #orpol oregoncapitalchronicle.com/2024/01/10/tim…

Yikes! Nothing scarier than @senbetsyjohnson tricking voters into thinking they are't voting for a republican agenda. Is she really all that different from Trump? #corporateboughtbetsy #corpboughtbetsy

Meet Betsy Drazan, err Christine Johnson - correction Betsine Johnzan - both are backed by the same billionaire, wealthy timber corporations and polluters — and as Johnson said this weekend, “Were I not here, it would be a two-way race and then Christine would lose.” #orpol

Has Betsy always been gunning for a position in a Drazan administration?

“proud machine gun owner Betsy Johnson said she thinks more needs to be done to keep guns ‘away from people who should not have them.’ But Johnson’s platform stands in contrast to her voting record in the Oregon Senate.” opb.org/article/2022/1…

“Timber owners have avoided some $3 billion in payments that would have gone to counties during that time…with most of the benefit flowing to private timber companies…Johnson’s position is clear: ‘No new tax unless it’s negotiated with industry.’” oregonlive.com/politics/2022/…

"Johnson, 71, has a long record of catering to extractive industries, namely the logging sector that wields enormous power in Oregon and that made her and her family rich." huffpost.com/entry/nike-cli…

Oh, no no no. The same person who consistently voted against OR FF’s labor protections, worked overtime to obstruct fire legislation, and voted no on HJM3 (a bipartisan motion that urged congress to pass specific wildfire land Mgmnt legislation) does not get to swoop in…(1/4)

Betsy is living in the past, when we had a cool wet climate that made firefighting easy. She is just repeating talking points fed to her by her timber industry backers - who want to cut out public lands for profit. OSU experts have debunked her claims. today.oregonstate.edu/news/osu-resea…

30 fires are burning in Oregon today and this weekend could be worse with hot weather and high winds. The feds are bad neighbors who let their trees burn. When I’m governor, the state will put out the damn fires.

Great new logos for @senbetsyjohnson!

I made some new logos for Betsy Johnson. Would love to know which one you prefer!

With @CorpBoughtBetsy there are plenty of topics that will generate these reminders. Today the topic is gun violence with enabler @senbetsyjohnson with that 100% NRA rating.

Great reporting @RollingStone @senbetsyjohnson is not who Oregon wants in charge!

She’s campaigning as a straight-shooting moderate, but independent Betsy Johnson despises “wokeness,” blasts Portland as the “City of Roaches,” and plans to keep the state’s CEOs on “speed dial." rol.st/3K9McyK

Tellingly, another rich Republican is backing @senbetsyjohnson - Rob Freres just gave a whopping $100k. In ‘19 he pledged $1 million to overturn $1 billion in funding for public schools. Since ‘07, he & Freres Lumber donated close to $1.5 million to Republicans, including Trump
