This chapel near Kettlewell, North Yorkshire was built in 1961 by architect George Pace in a Scandinavian style with an impressive steep pitched roof. This is thought to be one of Pace's best churches, and was designed to use local materials 'to appear to grow out of the dale'.
We are delighted to report that our eagle has been recovered from a scrap metal dealer in the Black Country, thanks to a public-spirited informant. We have taken additional security measures, including a motion sensor on the eagle, to ensure the crime is not repeated.

Initially built in 1520, The Prospect of Whitby still stands today on the River Thames in Wapping. 🌊 The pub had a notorious past and was known as 'the Devil's Tavern' through its association with thieves and smugglers. Its name was changed to 'The Prospect of Whitby' in 1777.
Built as a replica of the Temple of Dendur in Nubia, the Freemasons' Hall in Boston, Lincolnshire, is an example of Egyptian Revival style. Built between 1860 to 1863, the building features detailed stone carvings of leaves and inscriptions of Egyptian hieroglyphics.
