A transition to renewables is not going to mean a 17 terawatt global economy where Americans use a hundred times more energy exosomatically. Any transition is going to mean a huge reduction in consumption.

All the polite-speak garbage around the #ClimateCrisis is a form of denial, buttoned up, full on denial. Is that how we go to our deaths? Nobody's talking about starving to death, nobody's talking about the #ClimateFamine in Madagascar, now at 1.2 deg C, & a coming hell world.

I weep for the squandered years, the denial, distraction and delay, during which the fossil fuel companies trashed our chances of maintaining a habitable planet. Time is now so short, and the action required so drastic, that the chance of avoiding catastrophe is slight.

The death spiral of Arctic also represents the death spiral of humans and life on Earth Without our Arctic cooler to cool the planet and reflect heat back into space - Earth warming will sky rocket and already is beginning to do so - only a radical response can prevent disaster

How many people know that one of NASAs most revered and respected scientists has warned climate change is going to be the equivalent of an asteroid hitting the planet? Why isn’t that on the news?

Big data has huge environmental costs. The equivalent of one piece of coal is used every time 1Mb is transferred. “Renewables” can barely keep pace with the increase in energy demands - never mind replace fossil fuels.

The strain Data Centres place on the national grid is not new news. I made this documentary, Hot Air, three years ago. The then Minister, Richard Bruton, disputed this section, among others. #ClimateAction
