Retaining the Ashes due to a washout is a somewhat hollow feeling, kind of like winning a World Cup due to an overthrow deflection…..we’ll take it #ashes

I think the tide has turned on masks. People recognise they had a place at a time of uncertainty, but are appropriately re-assessing their value especially in schools. It is a good time to re-evaluate primary and secondary school mask policy in all Australian jurisdictions.

Since SSmith scored 111 at Dharamsala in 2017, 135 Aussies have walked out to bat in Tests v India. Not one century, a top score of just 79 (MHarris). Only one innings of 200+ balls (UKhawaja). Only eleven 50s, and only two bats with more than one 50. Houston, we have a problem.

On July 11th 1930 Don Bradman played one of Test cricket's remarkable innings, scoring 309* on the first day of the 3rd Test at Headingley. Walking out to face the 11th ball of the day, he was 105 at lunch, 220 at tea, and only gave one chance. Here he smiles on reaching his 300

Is there a “stubborn 18yr old daughter world championship”? If so I’m sitting on the Australian champion right here. Hands down, don’t even think you can get near it if you have a contender. 😡
