I’m convinced that people only say stuff like this because if they acknowledge that people criticizing IDW DID read the Metal Virus then they’d also have to acknowledge that the context doesn’t just suddenly make Sonic’s portrayal more palatable or better.
If I see one more Sonic Twt post about how the Metal Virus Arc “sucks” now because of a single out of context panel where Sonic “thinks to himself too much” I’m gonna lose it I beg people to read the full comics instead of reacting to a single thought bubble Jesus Christ 😭
I agree with this, especially the non-artist part because nothing helps you best understand your likes and dislikes for how these characters are drawn/modeled than drawing/modeling them yourself for a few months.
