If the US won't support Ukraine in its fight against Putin's war machine, the UK and Europe must lead the way.

Today, I questioned the Prime Minister on his plan if Donald Trump abandons our brave Ukrainian allies. If the US won't support Ukraine in its fight against Putin's war machine, the UK and Europe must – and we should use frozen Russian assets to do it.

Imagine there’s another pandemic, RFK Jr. would not approve a new vaccine. He could kill millions.

Trump is expected to nominate former presidential candidate and anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. @meridithmcgraw @ChelseaCirruzzo politico.com/news/2024/11/1…

Plus often the platform of hate speech and misinformation. Do you agree that hate speech etc should be banned?

I am wondering how those Arab- Americans who did not vote for Harris will feel about Trump appointing some-one who does not agree within the Two State solution and wants continued annexation of the West Bank by settlers. They were warned.

After Nigel Farage asks question at PMQs, Keir Starmer says: “I’m glad to see the honourable member making a rare appearance back here. After so much time in America recently, I was half expecting to see him in the immigration statistics”.

Wherever any part of the Church allies itself uncritically to any politician or political movement there is the danger of it being taken over and subverted and made into something unchristian, a demonic distortion of itself. (eg US "Evangelicals" and Russian Orthodox).

There is nothing safe about the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, but a fundamental misunderstanding of its impact on medicine. We have got to fix palliative care first and foremost, yet this Bill draws more resources away from providing care. I will vote against.

Given that we know that coercive control is something insidious and manipulative and that people often don’t realise they have been victims until years later, the Assisted Dying Bill is an enormous threat to vulnerable people. There are no adequate safeguards here.

I find it astonishing that Keir Starmer is the first British PM since Winston Churchill to spend Armistice Day in France. They are historically our oldest and staunchest allies and were heavily involved in both World Wars? Why has it been so long?

In modern warfare many more innocent die compared to military deaths. That can never be justifiable. A war may start as justified but never ends up so.

The 1st century Church, the Jesus-communuty of Jews, Gentiles, had no political power in Rome. There was no christian supreme court. They had no cultural power; they were persecuted by both Jews and Gentiles. They had no economic power. But they had love and the power of Jesus.

I tend to think God doesn’t care very much at all about who won some sandspeck of an election. He does care about how we treat those on the margins of society.

I still believe in love. I still believe in Jesus’s radical example of enemy love. I still believe that another way is possible in this world. Through our lives & by our prayers, may we see that Kingdom Come..

Do we remember this scripture, believers? These are not simply suggestions or pithy phrases to print on coffee mugs. These are the words of Christ. You cannot routinely do the exact opposite of what He instructs and claim to follow Him. Is He Lord or is He not?

Issues matter because people matter, and issues affect people. But this election was about more than disagreeing on issues. I disagree with Trump and Harris on certain issues. This election was about principalities and powers - racism, patriarchy, xenophobia. This is not…

The reality is that we are now a small country on our own in a hostile world. Global Britain was a vacuous slogan and a lie. We need to be with friends. We need to be in the EU.

We need a special relationship with the EU, not the USA. Open your eyes, folk!

It is still the case that although Kamal Harris lost the election her national vision is still much better than Donald Trump and people will need to follow that vision and not let hateful autocracy take place. Hopefully many of those who voted for Trump will want that too.
