when i was a founder, the most impactful thing a VC could ever do for me is introduce me to a big customer out of my network. today, we @EniacVC kicked off "customer fridays" with a F50 customer (TY Disney!) - to hear their pain points and connect our founders. more to come!
This is why I index so highly on $ volume in marketplaces early stage. After that I care a lot about organic growth/referral/WOM. Very low signal with user metrics for early adopters other than if they hate it imho.

Interesting time to be an emerging manager. Multiple FOFs are working on closing their next funds and not deploying atm. Many established EMs going out for fund 3 or 4. Feels end of Q1 we see a lot of action both good and bad.

Caught up with 3 high net worth individual investors last week who typically invest directly into startups and also into VC funds. All come from founder backgrounds. All mentioned that they are now only focused on classic Private Equity opportunities. Wow - what is happening?
