Good idea for my freelance writing friends. If you do this, please pick the clients you wish to target first before you conduct the research. It’s harder to decline when it fits in perfectly with their editorial plan and declining means a competitor might snatch it up.
If I were a freelance writer looking for clients, I would pick a topic, do original research, write content and send it to prospective clients asking if they wanted to buy it.
