𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙔𝙤𝙪 Matt Westerhaus, A multi-sport standout at JCHS, Westerhaus graduated in 1991 and attended Benedictine College to play basketball. He returned to USD 475 in 1999 to teach Physical Education at JCMS and became the Athletic Director at JCHS in 2006.
You led by example and embodied our core values of teamwork, responsibility, respect, sportsmanship, and integrity in your everyday life. Even though you are spreading your wings and heading to a new nest, Junction City High School will always be home.
During his time, Matt would always go the extra mile to help anybody who needed his assistance. It did not have to be an activity or athletic event, he put the school and the community ahead of himself.
JCHS art students had a great day yesterday at the @FortHaysState Annual High School Art Show. 13 different students were awarded and Blue Jays received 28 total awards. jcpost.com/posts/8a1d44df…
